DEUTSCHLAND SCHLOSS NEUSCHWANSTEIN
(dpa) - A view of the interior court of the fairy tale-like Neuschwanstein Castle near Schwangau, southern Germany, 2 June 2003. Building of King Ludwig's most famous castle started in 1869 in an altitude of 1000 m. The neo-late romanesque castle was never finished, as all construction works were halted after the mysterious death of the King in 1886. Just seven weeks after the death of King Ludwig the castle was opened for the public. Today the castle is one of Germany's most famous touristic sights and one of the most-visited castles in Europe.
