The municipality of Flaesch in the canton of Grisons, Switzerland, with its vineyards reaching into the village, pictured on November 3, 2009. During the revision of the town planning in 2008 green spaces flowing freely into the village were zoned back to vines and fruit tree zones. The land owners received fair compensation in the form of land on the town's fringes. Thus, the village's singular appearance, characterized by its vineyards crossing and entering the place, was retained. (KEYSTONE/Gaetan Bally)
