New York City police line an avenue as several thousand anti-Bush protestors pass by on their way from Union Square to Eighth Avenue as police let them march towards Madison Square Garden, venue of the Republican National Convention on Thursday 02 September 2003 as US President George W. Bush was making his acceptance speech. The group did not have a permit to march but police allowed the protestors to move up towards the convention after lining the route with thousands of police.
