USA ALASKA KLONDIKE GOLDRAUSCH 1898
Alaska prospectors. Four prospectors on a trail in Alaska in around 1897. Prospectors explored remote regions looking for mineral and other resources, most commonly gold. During this period, prospectors travelled through Alaska to reach the Klondike region of Canada as part of the Klondike Gold Rush of 1896 to 1899. Gold was also discovered in Nome, Alaska, in 1899, leading to a gold rush of prospectors to the area that lasted until around 1909.
