SCHWEIZ GENF CHRISTBAUM FESTIVAL
A passerby looks at the tree " Ballbatruc" by Swiss artist Bornand Architectes, an 85 meter high cone, made of 55 helium-inflated vinyl spheres, each 4m in diameter, anchored to the jetty, floodlit at night and moving to the wind, in Geneva, Switzerland, on Friday, November. 30, 2001. The first ever international Christmas-tree festival will transform Geneva into a city of light from December 1, 2001 to January 15, 2002. Twenty-five Christmas trees, each decorated and lit, will be installed around the Geneva lakeside and in the city centre. The event is organised in association with UNICEF and the City of Geneva.
