INTRAVENOUS DRIP
Intravenous drip. Gloved hand holding a glucose and saline drip. This solution of salt, water and the sugar glucose is administered to medical patients who are unable to eat or drink. It temporarily maintains or replaces their body fluids. The drip is given as an intravenous infusion. This introduces the solution slowly into the body via the bloodstream.
