SCHWEIZ JURA "CREUX DU VAN"
Dark clouds hang above the cricus of the "Creux du Van" above Noiraigue in the Jura mountains in the canton of Neuchatel, Switzerland, pictured on June 16, 2009. Roughly 200 meters high are the rock walls falling vertically into a hippocrepiform circle with a radius of one kilometer. The "Creux du Van" is the oldest nature reserve in Switzerland. Rund 200 Meter hohen Felsen fallen senkrecht ab und bilden einen hufeisenfoermigen Zirkel von einem Kilometer Durchmesser. Der "Creux du Van" ist das aelteste Naturschutzgebiet der Schweiz.
