REEVE'S MUNTJAC DEER
Reeve's muntjac deer (Muntiacus reevesi). Muntjac are the oldest known genus of deer, dating from 15-35 million years ago. They are native to south- east Asia, but have been introduced to the UK where they are now common. This female (doe) deer was photographed in the Lea Valley Park, Hertfordshire, England, in March.
