JAPAN. KYOTO. 'LOVE HOTELS.'
JAPAN. Kyoto. Love Hotels. Hotels are usually grouped around the highway interchanges, for their ease of access and anonymity, and rooms are for hire by the hour. Cars are provided with 'confidential' parking arrangements, hidden from the road by curtains, and boards are provided to cover up number plates. At some hotels access is direct from the car park to the room, avoiding any contact with the management of the hotel, the couples can come and go 'in secret'. 2000. (C)Peter Marlow-Magnum Photos.
