USA MARTIN LUTHER KING ERMORDUNG AUSSCHREITUNGEN
A Detroit police armored vehicle in a phalanx of squad cars starts off north down Detroit's 12th Street, April 5, 1968, the day after the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr., in a show of force after violence erupted throughout the city. Blacks beat a taxi driver and burned his cab on 12th Street, and sporadic rock and bottle throwing took place as the police headed into the area of last summer's July riot. (AP Photo)
