LUCIO AND SIMPLICIO, CONJOINED TWINS
Lucio and Simplicio (1908-1936). Historical image of the Filipino conjoined twin performers Lucio and Simplicio Godina, as children. These twins performed in various sideshow acts in the USA. After Lucio died of rheumatic fever doctors operated to separate him from Simplicio who survived the operation but died of spinal meningitis shortly after. Photographed circa 1918-1920.
