ArcelorMittal, Kokerei Prosper, Bottrop, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Deutschland Bottrop, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany - The Prosper coking plant is one of the three operating coking plants in the Ruhr area. The Prosper coking plant is the last coking plant operated by the successor company of Ruhrkohle AG, RAG Deutsche Steinkohle AG. It was taken over by the ArcelorMittal steel group in 2011. The coke plant is designed for an annual production of almost two million tons of coke. Due to an inspection of the gas pipeline, the coke oven gas cannot be transported away and is therefore flared.
