YEMEN CONFLICT FOOD INSECURITY
epa10468844 Aid workers carry emergency food aid for vulnerable people amid a food insecurity in the Red Sea city of Hodeidah, Yemen, 13 February 2023 (issued 15 February 2023). The 2023 Humanitarian Response Plan for Yemen requires 4.3 billion US dollar to reach 17.3 million vulnerable people out of its 30-million population who are in need of humanitarian and protection assistance in 2023 as a result of an eight-year conflict, displacement and economic deterioration, according to estimates by the United Nations.
