Brazilian scientists are working against the clock to produce the first local anticovid immunizer in a country that already exceeded half a million deaths due to the coronavirus pandemic. The drug, dubbed Butanvac, is being developed by Butantan, one of the reference laboratories in Brazil and which is currently responsible for the local production of Coronavac, the vaccine devised by China's Sinovac.
