VLADIMIR KARAPETOFF, RUSSIAN-US ENGINEER
Vladimir Karapetoff (1876-1948), Russian-US electrical engineer and educator. Born and educated in St Petersburg, Russia, Karapetoff first came to the USA in 1902. He became a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and taught at Cornell University, New York, for 35 years.
