USA CHARLES BRONSON
Undated Portrait of American actor Charles Bronson with binoculars. He started his career at theaters in 1948 in New York until three years later he got his first break in movies. From 1958 he played the leads in several B movies. He appeared in supporting roles in "The Magnificent Seven" and "The Great Escape", until he played the lead in Leone's "Once Upon a Time in the West" in 1968, which became a huge box-office hit in France and Bronson one of the most popular filmstars in Europe. But it was not until his role in "Death Wish" (1974) that Bronson became a superstar in his own country. On November 3, 2002 the actor will celebrate his 80th anniversary.
