SUEDHALBKUGEL ARKTIS OZONLOCH 2002
Scientists from NOAA and NASA confirmed Monday, Sept. 30, 2002 that this September the ozone hole over the Antarctic is not only much smaller than it was in 2000 and 2001, but that the ozone hole split into two separate holes during late September. Graphic shows southern hemisphere with ozone in the air measured in Dobson units. The ozone hole is in areas below 220 Dobson units, in colors ranging from shades of green through red.
