IRAK KRIEG BAGDAD STATUE SADDAM HUSSEIN
IRAQ, Baghdad. 04/18/2003. First big Friday prayers in the Shia Community after the fall of Saddam HUSSEIN. The prayers took place in the Holy Kademira Mosque and were followed by a demonstration against Saddam HUSSEIN, as well as against the US and UK intervention. Rather non-extremist. After the Demonstration the head of a Saddam HUSSEIN Statue from the rich al-Mansur district is paraded in town by a truck. Women visit the monument "to hack of the head" as their relatives had dissappeared in the 80's by Saddam's secret police Mukhabarat. (KEYSTONE/MAGNUM PHOTOS/Thomas Dworzak)
