PERU CRISIS
epa10419294 People participate in a new anti-government march in Lima, Peru, 20 January 2023. The anti-government demonstrations led to new clashes with the security forces and caused 'severe damage' to the infrastructure in the historic center of the Peruvian capital, official sources reported. The protests brought together thousands of people for the second day in a row, many of them coming from the southern regions of Peru and, after a peaceful start, led to clashes with police officers, who fired tear gas on various streets.
