IRAN NOBELPREIS SHIRIN EBADI
Iranian Nobel Peace Prize winner Shirin Ebadi praised at a press conference in Teheran, Tuesday 02 December 2003, the approval of the new child custody law and termed it as a great victory for women after more than two decades of resistance. An arbitrator council approved last week amendment of the child custody law, allowing divorced women to also keep their sons until the age of seven. The initial law only allowed daughters to be kept until the age of seven, boys however only until two.
