OLYMPIA MUENCHEN 1972 ATTENTAT
The coffins of the victims of the terrorist attacks during the Olympic Games are draped with the Israeli national flag in the synagogue in Munich, September 1972. On September 5, the Arab group Black September had broken into the Olympic village in Munich, killing two Israeli coaches and taking nine Israli team members hostage. When negotians failed and police tried to free the hostages on the Fuerstenfeldbruck airport all nine hostages as well as a police officer and five terrorists were killed.
