epa03840174 A South African man picks his way along a flooded pathway in the flood affected informal shack settlement of Masiphumelele, Cape Town, South Africa 28 August 2013. The city of Cape Town's Disaster Risk Management team has issued a warning of more severe weather hitting over the next few days. This follows three weeks of intense winter weather with more than 5000 residents living in informal settlements in Cape Town being displaced due to a series of strong cold fronts causing heavy rains, flooding and gale force winds. Many of the settlements are in low and wetland areas which have little drainage and flood easily. The City of Cape Town's Disaster management team has been providing relief in the form of food, blankets and shelter for those affected. EPA/NIC BOTHMA
