The cover of "Wide Prairie" the solo music album by the late Linda McCartney to be released later October it was announced Friday October 16, 1998. Her widower Sir Paul McCartney gave an interview to musician Jools Holland, speaking at length for the first time since Linda died, in which he talked about each song on her first ever solo album. They worked on the album together until just weeks before she lost her battle with breast cancer in April 1998. Sir Paul said It s a record we were working on, and unfortunately she should have been here promoting it, but when she died, I just thought, no, I ve just got to do it now, I ve got to mix it, I ve got to carry on, and I ve got to promote it. Just mainly so people know it s there. It is Linda s record. It s the stuff she s been working on since the early 1970s. She wrote 13 out of the 16 tracks, sang vocals on them all and played instruments.(AP Photo/PA) ** UK OUT, MAGS OUT, NO SLAES**
