SCHWEIZ RHEINFALL TROCKENHEIT
JAHRESRUECKBLICK 2006 - INLAND - SCHWEIZ RHEINFALL TROCKENHEIT: Two visitors look over the nearly dry Rhine Falls in Neuhausen, Switzerland, Wednesday, February 8, 2006. The Rhine Falls are the largest in Europe with an average flow of 700 cubic meters / sec. However on Tuesday, February 7, the average flow was only 142 cubic meters / sec. Low rainfall in Switzerland have caused the levels of Lake Constance - which feeds the Rhine Falls - to sink to an all-time low and hence almost dried out the Rhine Falls.
