The Unspunnen stone is named after a stone throwing contest and has been tossed for a century. The original stone was stolen on Saturday Aug. 20, 2005 from a hotel in Interlaken where it was on display ahead of the upcoming Unspunnen festival. Its is the second time the stone has been stolen. In 1984 the stone was stolen by separatists of the Canton of Jura, and it was returned 17 years later in 2001. It is regarded as a cultural heritage of the country. (KEYSTONE/Str)
