According to media reports, at least 33 Salvadoran citizens are linked to fiscal activities detailed in the Panama Papers mass data leaks. According to Salvadoran Attorney General Douglas Melendez, the government seized the firm's documents and equipment to examine their financial, legal and accounting aspects. The Panamanian based firm was the victim of a mass data leak, which detailed the means by which some of the world's most influential and powerful people used offshore companies to avoid paying taxes on their income.
