A group of mountaineers walk roped on the ice of the Swiss Aletsch glacier, the longest glacier in Europe, on the sideline of the photographic exhibition of Swiss photographer David Carlier, in Fieschertal, Switzerland, Tuesday, July 21, 2020. The Aletsch Glacier, a river of ice that stretches over 23 km from its formation in the Jungfrau region (at 4000 m) down to the Massa Gorge in Valais, around 2500 m below. 15 images of his project are displayed in an exhibition taking place until October 2020 and inside the water pipe tunnel Taelligrat leading up to Aletsch Glacier Arena.
