***BILD GESPERRT***
Ruins of a former government building on Darulaman Avenue. Kabul, Afghanistan. 02 December 2006. ..After the fall of the Taliban in the winter of 2001/2002, the building became a makeshift home for Afghans who had fled the Afghan-Soviet war and then returned to Kabul. Often they found themselves stranded in conditions worse than those in the camps around Peshawar in Pakistan, where they had lived for decades and many had been born..
