USA MUSIK BARRY WHITE
Archive image of legendary soul singer Barry White, variously known by his legions of fans as 'the walrus of love' or the 'godfather of soul'. White's rise to stardom began when he discovered the female singing trio Love Unlimited, which included the woman who was to be his second wife, Glodean James. White was Love Unlimited's producer before hitting the big time himself, and many critics credit him with launching the 1970's disco phenomenon in 1973 when he released 'Love's Theme' with the Love Unlimited Orchestra. White died of kidney failure aged 58, 04/07/2003. He is pictured here in 1975. (KEYSTONE/CAMERA PRESS/Dennis Morris) === , ===
