SCHWEIZ URWALD DERBORENCE
The primeval forest of Derborence belongs to the municipality of Conthey in the Canton of Valais, Switzerland, pictured on September 1, 2014. The forest lies south of the Diablerets massif on the mountain Mont a Cavouere on the steep northwestern slope between the Alp Verouet and the mountain lake Lac de Derborence and covers an area of 22.3 hectares which makes it the second largest of three primeval forests in Switzerland. It lies between 1450 and 1700 meters above sea level. (KEYSTONE/Gaetan Bally)
