February 5th, 2017..Scarlet ibises take flight above flooded lowlands approximately 20 miles southwest of Bom Amigo near the north coast of Brazil in February of this year. The birds (Eudocimus ruber) get their vibrant color from a diet that is heavy in shrimp, small crabs and other shellfish.
