A network of sea cucumber farm pens share Yantai Harbor with the industriial shipyard of of CIMC Raffles, where deep water oil drilling rigs are built. The sea cucumber take almost three years to grow to harvest size, but require no food. Small houses for the fishermen and a long raft line of floating restaurants are scattered among the nets.
