The clashes between youth demonstrators and the police, which took place in Zurich on June 29, 1968, are the so-called Globus-riots. These riots were the prelude to the protests of 1968 in Switzerland. The reason for the dispute was the demand for an autonomous youth-center in the temporary building of the store Magazine Globus in the center of the city.
