The USA flew four F-22 stealth fighters over South Korea, a news report said, amid increased tensions on the peninsula over North Korea's nuclear and missile development programme. It is unusual for the US to deploy four of the stealth aircraft, among the most advanced of its arsenal, at the same time in South Korea, according to the report by Yonhap News Agency. North Korea carried out its fourth nuclear test on January 6 and launched a long-range rocket the following day, in violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions, and prompting widespread condemnation.
