Workers from the Juan Diego Democratic Worker's Center discuss the possibility of moving to another temporary location proposed by the City of Chicago. Soon after the discussion the city permanently closed the worker center and sent the men back to the street to look for work. Jose Landaverde, center, is El Salvadoran immigrant and a tireless activist fighting for social justice in the Latino community in Chicago. For years he worked with day laborers to organize for official worker centers. He then became a pastor and opened his own church in the Little Village Neighborhood on Chicago's South Side.
