JAPAN TEE ZEREMONIE
epa01974332 A group of tea aficionados who have travelled to Kyoto to experience tea ceremony with a leading tea master are welcomed by fourth generation master Hisatsuna Soi Kanazawa (C) prior to a formal tea ceremony at the master's home, called Houenan, in Kyoto, Japan, 25 November 2009. A formal seasonal tea ceremony, chaji, can last for four hours and starts with a bowl of welcome tea, followed by an elegant 'kaiseki' meal, with sake, and then a formal tea ceremony in the inner tea house of the masters home. Only select people are invited to such formal tea events. EPA/EVERETT KENNEDY BROWN
