epa02631786 Opposition protesters take shelter as they face Bahraini police shooting tear gas in Manama, Bahrain, 13 March 2011. According to media sources, about hundreds of protesters, along with unknown number of police, were injured in the clashes that erupted after the protesters attempted to block traffic on a main highway. The clashes quickly spread to other parts of the Gulf island which has been rocked by pro-reforms protests since 14 February 2011.
