PHILIPPINEN KORALLEN RIFF
epa01783630 A heart shaped coral is seen off Anilao, Batangas province, south of Manila, Philippines on 05 July 2009. A recent World Bank study revealed that barely 1 percent of the Philippines 25,000 sq. m. of coral reefs remain pristine and more than 50 percent are unhealthy. The Philippine reefs are the most unique in the Pacific Ocean and home to over 2000 species of fish alone. EPA/DENNIS M. SABANGAN
