The 1994 parliamentary election in South Africa took place from April 26 to 29, 1994 and was the first election in South Africa to be held under the conditions of universal adult suffrage. It marked the end of racial segregation under the apartheid policy that had existed in South Africa since the beginning of the 20th century.
