FRANKREICH WIM WENDERS
German film director Wim Wenders ('Wings of Desire', 'The End of Violence') reads a newspaper on the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Texas, 2001. As part of an advertisement campaign for the German daily newspaper 'Frankfurter Allgemeine' the director posed on the Eiffel Tower in the small town, which he had made world famous with his 1984 movie 'Paris, Texas'. When Wenders first came to Paris, Texas, for the shooting of his film, he made a bet that there would surely be a small Eiffel Tower. He lost. The Eiffel Tower was only erected after he had finished his movie. (KEYSTONE/DPA/FAZ Seiland) === ===
