MODEL RELEASED. Forensics fingerprinting material testing. Researcher writing identification details on a fingerprint impression mould taken from one of the fingers of a dead body (cadaver). This work is being done as part of research into new materials being used for fingerprint impression moulds. This silicone-based elastomer material is designed to dry on contact with air when a setting agent is added prior to use. In this research, a new material (see C001/3064 to C001/3066) was shown to set faster and produce clearer fingerprint detail than the comparison material being used here.
