STRUCTURE OF MATTER IN THE UNIVERSE, ILLUSTRATION
Structure of matter in the universe, illustration. The structure of matter in the universe is not quite randomly distributed, and by drawing and computing triangles in the sky, scientists can obtain measures for how structured the universe is, comparing this data to statistical models and the cosmic microwave background. This enables scientists to determine how much the structure of the universe is non-Gaussian, and how much it deviates from a random distribution.
