At least nine people died in southern India late 13 September after a passenger train crashed into a stationary train, broadcaster NDTV reported citing police. More than 100 injured passengers were rushed to hospital, police inspector general Satyendra Babu told NDTV. The accident took place at 9 30 pm between Arakkonam and Chiteri, about 80 kilometres from Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu state.
