Data Privacy Statement

We, KEYSTONE-SDA-ATS AG, Wankdorfallee 5, 3014 Bern, Switzerland, are serious about data privacy and in this Statement, we inform you of the collection, storage and any use of personal data on our website. KEYSTONE-SDA-ATS AG (hereinafter “KEYSTONE-SDA-ATS”) is the Controller as defined by the data protection laws and processes your data. This Statement applies to all services and features offered and operated by us in connection to our website www.keystone-sda.ch. It applies mutatis mutandis to mobile devices and services and offers adapted to other platforms.

Personal data

Personal data are defined as all information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. Personal data can be used to identify or contact a specific person. These include, for example, your name, title, e-mail address, telephone number or an IP address allocated to you by your Internet provider. Information that cannot be used to identify you (anonymous data) does not qualify as personal data.

Automatically transmitted usage data

While using our website, your Internet browser for technical reasons automatically transmits specific usage data or server log files to us. This information includes, among others:

  • Date and time of access
  • URL (address) of the referring website
  • Requested file
  • Volume of data sent
  • Host name of the requesting computer (IP address)
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system

This information is stored exclusively by us for the technical administration of our website, in order to defend ourselves against unlawful actions relating to our website, and in part also for statistical evaluation purposes. We reserve the right to subsequently check these protocol data if there is specific evidence to legitimately suspect the unlawful use of the website.

Data collected and processed based on information provided by you

You can generally use our website without providing us with any of your personal data. Personal data are only collected and stored if you have separately given your specific consent. Unless stated otherwise, these data are only used to process your specific enquiry.

General request for contact

If you contact us by e-mail or contact form, the information provided by you is stored in order to process your enquiry and to answer any follow-up questions.

SSL encryption

To ensure the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption procedures (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS.

Newsletter

With our newsletter we aim to inform you of offers, services and projects. We only send newsletters and e-mails containing advertising information with the consent of the recipient. To subscribe to the newsletter, you need to provide your first name, last name and e-mail address. To verify your e-mail address, you are then sent a confirmation e-mail with a link that has to be clicked (double opt-in procedure). The registration or confirmation date and time are recorded by the IP address for verification purposes.

For our newsletters, we use MailChimp, a newsletter tool provided by The Rocket Science Group, LLC (675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA; “MailChimp”). The data are stored on servers in the US. MailChimp is certified in accordance with the EU-US Privacy Shield agreement on data protection.

MailChimp offers options for the statistical analysis of usage data. These include, among others, confirmation that an e-mail has reached the recipient or was rejected by the server, and information on the links that were clicked. To this end, MailChimp uses what is known as a tracking pixel that is activated by the MailChimp server when the newsletter is opened. To enable the technical improvement of the service, technical information (e.g. IP address, browser type and version, time and date of the request) is collected. Users who do not wish their data to be processed by MailChimp should not subscribe to the newsletter.

More information on data protection/data privacy and the use of cookies is provided at https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy. You have the right to withdraw your consent to receive our newsletter at any time with future effect. To do this, you simply have to unsubscribe from the newsletter. An unsubscribe link is provided at the end of every newsletter.

Cookies

Our website partly uses cookies designed to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer and stored by your browser. Most of the cookies used by us are “session cookies” that are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your computer until you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognise your browser when you visit our website again. You can change the settings on your browser to notify you when a cookie should be set, which will allow you to approve or reject cookies on an ad hoc basis or to generally block all cookies and to activate the automatic deletion of all cookies when you close your browser. Disabling cookies can mean that the functionality of our website is restricted. More information on cookies can be found at: http://www.allaboutcookies.org/ge/.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service offered by Google (Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). Google Analytics makes use of cookies that make it possible to analyse your use of our website.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the US. We use Google Analytics with the added code “_anonymizeIp()”, which means that the IP addresses transmitted to Google are only processed in truncated form, which makes it impossible to identify any persons (IP masking). Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activities for our website and provide other services related to the use of the website and the Internet. Google may also forward this information to third parties to the extent required by law or to process these data on behalf of Google. Google will never associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.

You may prevent the installation of cookies for Google Analytics by adjusting the settings for your browser software. Please note, however, that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of our website. You can at any time refuse the collection and storage of data for Google Analytics with future effect by installing a browser plug-in provided by Google (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de). Please note that you will have to repeat this refusal if you should remove the cookies from your browser or access our website from another browser. More information on Google Analytics can be found at: http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/learn/privacy.html.

Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager is also a Google product that allows us to use an interface to manage website tags. The Tag Manager is a domain that does not use cookies and does not collect any personal data. The tool triggers other tags that may under certain circumstance capture data. Google Tag Manager does not access these data. If the function is disabled at domain or cookie level, it applies to all tracking tags that are implemented by Google Tag Manager. If you do not wish to receive any advertising focused on your areas of interest, you can disable the use of cookies by Google for this purpose by calling up the page https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin.

Google AdWords and Remarketing

This website uses Google AdWords, an analysis service offered by Google, as well as conversion tracking in the context of Google AdWords. When you click on an advertisement placed by Google, Google AdWords saves a cookie for conversion tracking on your computer’s hard disk (known as a conversion cookie). These cookies expire after 30 days and cannot be used to identify any persons. If you visit certain pages on our website, Google and we will know that you clicked on the advertisement and were referred to this page. The information collected with the help of conversion cookies is used to prepare statistics for AdWords customers who use conversion tracking. These statistics tell us the total number of users who clicked on Google’s advertisement and called up a page containing a conversion tracking tag. We do not, however, receive any personal information that can be used to identify users. We cannot assign the data collected to specific users.

In addition to conversion tracking, we also use the functions

  • Remarketing
  • Target groups with shared interests
  • User-defined target groups with shared interests
  • Target groups interested in buying
  • Similar target groups
  • Demographic and geographical orientation.

With Google’s remarketing function, we can reach users who have already visited our website. In this way we can present our advertising to target groups who are already interested in our products and services. In addition, AdWords analyses user behaviour on websites in Google’s advertising network (“display network”) over the last 30 days and applies context-focused search engines that identify the shared interests and characteristics of the users of our website. AdWords uses this information to identify new potential customers for marketing purposes whose interests and characteristics are similar to those of the users of our website. Target-specific remarketing is done through the combined use of cookies, such as Google Analytics cookies and Google DoubleClick cookies.

More information on the terms of service and data privacy policy of Google AdWords can be found at this link: http://www.google.de/policies/technologies/ads/.

Google Maps

We use Google Maps to display maps. This is subject to the condition that Google can recognise the user’s IP address. The IP address is needed in order to send the contents to the user’s browser. Please note that Google has its own data privacy regulations that are not linked to ours. Before using our website, please acquaint yourself with Google’s data privacy policy at www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/. As Google Maps is based on a JavaScript code, you can prevent execution by disabling JavaScript in your browser’s settings or installing a JavaScript blocker. Please note that this may mean that our website is not displayed correctly.

Location data

You can run a location search via your browser to identify your location. Our website will only use this information to determine the location close to you and to display this to you. As a rule, your IP address, information on array processors in your vicinity and maybe an identification number are collected and processed in order to determine your location. These data are also sent to your browser provider and the latter’s location service provider. Google Location Service provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) is a very popular location service. More information on Google’s data privacy policy can be found at www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/. Please also take note of the information on the location function provided by your browser provider.

Use of YouTube plug-ins

We offer YouTube videos on some of our websites. These plug-ins are operated by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plug-in, a connection is established to YouTube’s servers and YouTube is notified of the pages you are visiting. If you are logged in to your YouTube account at the same time, YouTube can assign your surfing behaviour to your personal account. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account before visiting our website.

When a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies to collect information on user behaviour.

If you have disabled the saving of cookies for the Google Ad program, you do not have to be concerned about such cookies when you watch YouTube videos. However, YouTube also files non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you wish to prevent this, you have to disable cookies in your browser.

More information on data protection/data privacy can be found in YouTube’s data privacy statement at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

Children

We do not knowingly capture personal data of children younger than 13. Children younger than 13 are requested not to provide any personal data. We wish to encourage parents and guardians to monitor their children’s use of the Internet and to help us enforce our data privacy guidelines by instructing their children to never provide personal data via the services without their permission. If you have reason to suspect that your child younger than 13 has given us personal data via the services, we would ask you to inform us of the incident. We will erase the data from our databases.

Data security

We take all legal measures required to protect your personal data from loss, destruction, forgery, manipulation and unauthorised access. However, you should remember that transmission via the Internet can never be 100% secure or free of errors. We would ask you to consider this when using this website. As communication via any e-mails you may send to us is unencrypted, you should never send any confidential or sensitive data via this communication channel.

Links to other websites

This Data Privacy Statement only applies to our website. The website can contain links to external sites that are not covered by this Data Privacy Statement. If you leave our website by clicking on such links, we advise you to carefully read the data privacy information of all websites.

Amendments to our data privacy policy

We reserve the right to amend this Data Privacy Statement from time to time to ensure that it always meets the latest legal requirements, or to implement changes to our services in the Data Privacy Statement, e.g. when new services are launched. The new Data Privacy Statement will then apply to your next visit.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us free of charge for information about your personal data stored with us at any time and to have these data rectified, blocked or erased. To this end, please contact us by post or e-mail:
