GROSSBRITANNIEN JOHN PROFUMO 1963
John Profumo, Britain's War Minister, is shown March 22, 1963, in the car with his wife, former actress Valerie Hobson, as they drove to the House of Commons in London. John Profumo, who was at the center of the most sensational sex and security scandal of the 20th century, has died aged 91 on Friday March 10, 2006, after suffering from a stroke, British news agency PA reported. Profumo resigned from the Cabinet in 1963 for lying to the House of Commons over his affair with call girl Christine Keeler, who was also involved with a Russian intelligence officer.
