Japan will mark the fifth anniversary of the 2011 earthquake and tsunami on 11 March. Its is estimated that around 190 people were killed by the tsunami in the Abraham district alone. According to the February 2016 report by Japan's National Police Agency, 9,541 people were killed and 1237 are still missing in the Miyagi Prefecture.
