DEUTSCHLAND NUERNBERGER PROZESSE GEFAENGNIS 1945
A view of a prison corridor during the Nuremberg Trials, in the prison of Nuremberg, Germany, December 8, 1945. Every door is watched by a US guard. At the end of World War II, the International Military Tribunal was established by the USA, Britain, France, and the Soviet Union to indict and try former Nazi Party leaders as war criminals. The individual defendants were charged not only with the systematic murder of millions of people, but also with planning and carrying out the war in Europe. (KEYSTONE/DPA/Str)
