ANTON ZEILINGER, ENTANGLEMENT RESEARCHER
Professor Anton Zeilinger (born 1945), Austrian quantum physicist. In 2004, Zeilinger works at Vienna University, Austria, studying quantum entanglement. This is a property of a pair of particles (or atoms, or even molecules) in which a change to one has an instantaneous effect on the other, regardless of their distance apart or any barriers between them. It may find practical uses in quantum computing, data encryption and satellite navigation and communications, as well as its theoretical use in studying the nature of matter and energy at its most basic level.
