The aircraft manufacturer Airbus wants to cut 15,000 jobs worldwide because of the aviation crisis. This was announced by the aircraft manufacturer with headquarters in Toulouse, France, on Tuesday evening. In Germany 5100 jobs are to be cut. In addition, Airbus plans to cut 5000 jobs in France, 900 in Spain, 1700 in Great Britain and 1300 at other locations worldwide. The details of this plan would still have to be coordinated with the social partners. "The industry is in the midst of an unprecedented crisis", according to a statement. It was expected that air traffic would not recover before 2023 and might not return to pre-coronavirus levels until 2025. (Keystone-SDA)
