The Centre culturel suisse (CCS) in Paris was officially opened on September 26, 1985, at the Hôtel Poussepin in the Marais district. As Pro Helvetia's Paris location and the foundation's first foreign office, it has since served as a platform for contemporary Swiss culture in France and has fostered exchange with the French cultural scene through exhibitions, concerts, performances, film and discussions. Historically, the CCS stands for Switzerland's targeted cultural presence abroad, with a clearly cross-disciplinary profile. Since 2022, the building has been undergoing extensive renovation; in the meantime, the CCS remained active in France with the 'On Tour' format, and its return to the renovated building is planned for March 2026.
